The certificate in Hospitality General Management obtained accreditation in June 2025 on NQF Level 5. The OL Academy will continue to apply for accreditation on selected programmes.
When the Academy is accredited with the NQA, qualifications and courses become credit-bearing and are delivered against specific quality standards to ensure learners meet competence requirements and maintain credibility in the market.
Accreditation is also required from the Namibia Training Authority (NTA) to receive funding for apprentice training. Additionally, international funds available for skills development in emerging industries such as Green Hydrogen, Oil & Gas and technical skills require training providers to be accredited with the NQA.
When a course is credit-bearing, it can accumulate credits towards a recognised qualification on the Namibian Qualifications Framework (NQF).
No, the OL Academy also provides non-credit-bearing courses based on the needs of the business or individual Operating Companies (OpCos).
